In Retrospect - Big Island of Hawaii

Biking the Big Island is a ride of contrasts and extremes - from the heat of the Kona side to the relenting rain of Hilo, from the climbs of the Kohala mountains to the fast downhills of the Honokaa gulches. It's like the yin and the yang of bike rides. This hard challenging ride rewards you with unforgetable lasting memories - the rain forest of the Hilo scenic route, the ascent up the Kohala mountain, the eerie Crater Rim road, standing beside oozing hot molten lava, eating wild guavas, meeting and talking with the locals, etc.

Would I do it all over again ? Certainly yes !! We hope that by showing you what we did, it will inspire you to plan your very own Hawaii adventure. If we can do it, we know you can to.

Aside from making us healthier, we hope cycling adventures like this makes us better persons as well. By exposing ourselves to different cultures, we learn to better understand the world with its similarities and differences. By using cycling to take care of our physical, mental and spiritual health, we hope to be around for the next Hawaii Bike Adventure 10 years from now in 2012.

See you then. Aloha !!
