We have found a new source for cycling sandals. LAKE just rolled out their SPD compatible sandals. It has a lot more padding and a more pronounced toe lip than the Shimano or Exxus. Cycling sandals not only makes sense for warm weather touring, but also as a backup footwear for cyclotravel. You can bike with it to the beach, take a shower in a hostel or cross a rocky stream. I've even snorkled with it ! Wear insulated waterproof socks, and you can even wear it during the wet season.
