One Trike + Half a Trike = Tandem Trike

This is exactly what our homebuilder Gordon did. Starting with a single trike, a half trike was built and coupled to the first. It's almost the same concept as those kiddy trailerbikes attached to full sized bikes. You have the advantage of having independent cadence and gearing. Plus you can uncouple anytime and end up with a single bike. A simple yet elegant idea.
