Short Spokes
Are Back Again !!!
We're now proud owners of a spoke cutting and threading machine. So we can now cut spokes from legths starting at 120mm upwards.
We use SAPIM Race Double butted 15g spokes with brass nipples. Spokes are 14gage at the spoke head at the bend and thins to 15g to the end. For wheels 20" and smaller, use 15gage spokes. The angle of entry of the spoke as it enters the nipple is more pronounced. The 15gage spokes bends better at this exaggerated angle. For 24" and bigger, 14 gage works fine.
