Dahon Speed P8
The Speed P8 remains mostly unchanged from last year. Most distinct difference is the switch in color to fire red. This model has the "most bang for the buck". The componentry is exactly the same as it's fancier cousin - the Mu. The cromoly frame has a fully triangulated rear, making it stiffer. Handlebar adjusts up and down making rider fit easier. The Schwalbe Big Apple 20 x 2.0 tire is the widest in the line providing some cushioning and stability. This is the only tire we can comfortably ride "no hands" (don't try this at home). Dahon has also done away with last years proprietary seatpost. Not only does the seat post take a regular 2 rail saddle, it also has a built in tire pump. SRAM 7.0 rear derailleur is also an upgrade making shifting a lot crisper. The Sugino crankset also uses chainrings with the 110mm ring pattern. If you need to lower your gear range, you can change your ring from the stock 52 teeth all the way down to 32 teeth in increments of 2.

If you're in the market for a very utilitarian folder without breaking the bank, you won't make a mistake with the P8.
