Fenders will fit even when using the wide Schwalbe Big Apple 20 x 2.0 tires. Run the metal support struts parallel the rim as it leaves the dropouts. Then a few inches before it connects to the fender clips, bend the struts. This prevents the fender clips from hitting the tire. You can cut supprt struts to the right length by using a cable cutter, hack saw or even a dremel tool with a cutoff wheel. Cut the struts so the fender will clear the widest tire you intend to use. |

Clip On 20" Fender When travelling and packing your bike, the last thing you want are fenders that interfere with the fold. We have modified plastic clip-on fenders for 26' wheeled MTB's. The rear fender attaches to the seat tube with a U-clip and secured to the bottom of the rack with a velcro strap. The front fender attaches to an L-clip bolted on to the fork crown. It only takes a few seconds to remove the fenders without any tool. Although not a full coverage fender, it provides enough protection from overspray. CLIPON20FENDER ---$19.95 |
