| The route out of Linz takes us across the bridge towards the left bank. The route is a jogging bike path used by Linz sports enthusiasts. Watch out for zooming bikes and skaters. You have parks on your left and the river on the right with industrial plants in the background. | |||||||||||||||

| Our destination is Mathausen to check the concentration camp. We pass by small towns with large homes and farm animals . Being a Sunday, traffic is extremely light.
We may have missed the signs for the concentration camp because we didn't know its German translation. Being a Sunday, we learn that almost all stores are closed. Not even the tourist information center was open. With nobody to ask directions for the concentration camp, we decided to press on. |

| Mathausen is a pretty town with a row of 17th century houses. The building facades are adorned with murals and religious statues set on altars. They really take Sundays as their day of rest as the whole town is like a ghost town. | |||||||||||||||
