| If you ride too fast, there are hidden sites you will miss for sure. In between the rows of grave vines, we see this artist painting away even with the strong winds trying to blow away his canvas. This is the whole essence of traveling by bike. Seeing things you would otherwise miss if travelling by car. Remember that travel by bike is never about the destination. It's not about the number of miles you ride nor the speed you go to get there. It's what you see and who you meet along the route to your destination. | |||||||||||||||||

| An unexpected stop - observing a painter hidden in the vineyards | |||||||||||||||||
| We get to Durnstein about past noon. This is the most touristy town along todays route frequented by tour buses. Again, everything is closed for lunch. We found a shady spot and laid out whatever snack we brought.
Our final destination is Krems, not too far from Durnstein. It's a busy university town, like a mini Vienna. Finding lodging was a bit hard. With the help of a German speaking Filipina, we found lodging in the heart of the town center for 26 Euros a person, shared bathroom with breakfast included. |

| Tonight's dinner is at a local Italian restaurant with their rendition of pizza - German style. We tried strolling after dinner but nothing was open. | |||||||||||||||||
