| The day starts out with breakfast with other cyclists staying at the hotel. We've been playing tag with some of them. You usually see the same cyclists at the beginning and end of each day. From Grein, we backtrack about 2 km to cross a bridge and ride using the right bank route. From this vantage point, you get to see how pretty Grein is. The route takes us thru tree clad mountain sides on both sides with the river in the middle. Small towns are nestled on both sides of the river making for a very picturesque vista. |

| Todays goal is to get to Melk and visit its famed monastery before it closes. With not too many towns to visit, it is purely a riding day with over 50km to cover. Before lunch, we are at the town of Ybbs. The town has a bicycle museum close at the town center, but it is closed. Apparently, today is a national holiday. | ||||||||||||||||
