This is another homebuilt project by a local builder, Rick Valbuena. We have featured a few of his short wheel base projects before. This is his first long wheel base project for his brother who was trying to get back into cycling after decades of inactivity.
He christned the bike Erazer after using up blocks of eraser drawing and revising sketches of the bike. His inspiration is obviously the grand daddy of long wheel base recumbents - the Easy Racer. Life of this project started with a 70's Fuji road frame. As in previous projects, Rick brings us his frames all ready to weld. He designs, miters and layouts his tubes ready for us to weld. With such a long frame, he decided to weld it together using only the string method to center the rear triangle. The gods must have been with us that day since the frame turned out centered with only a minor coaxing.
